Our Story

Mia'sha Helton affectionately known as "Mi" is the Creator and Owner of  Its Mi Hair LLC

As an licensed Hairstylist for 19+ years, Mi has found her career to be very fulfilling. Being able to transform someones outer beauty, and effect their inner confidence is by far the most rewarding part of being a Hairstylist. Over the years she began to notice a transformative barrier, outside of  hair extentions or enhancements and that was HAIR LOSS. Having seen the effects of hair loss on her clients, as well as having fine hair herself, she understood what most people are going through. So, it became her mission to be apart of the solution thus creating ReStore Hair Restoration & Growth System

What does Anti-DHT mean?

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is an endogenous androgen sex steroid or hormone, 5AR is the enzyme that converts testosterone into much more potent androgen DHT. If 5AR levels increase, more testosterone will be converted to DHT and a greater hair loss will result. DHT is thought to cause hair follicles to miniaturize and this contributes to male pattern hair loss.

Anti-DHT means to come against Dihydrotestosterone with natural blockers like vitamins (E, K) and natural substances (saw palmetto, nettles, peppermint oil) while promoting healthy hair growth, combating thinning hair & blocking DHT and preventing hair loss.

What foods are known to reduce DHT in scalp

Raw pumpkin seeds are a natural DHT blocker and particularly good for preventing male pattern baldness and hair loss. Women’s hair can also benefit from the high levels of minerals and healthy fatty acids found in pumpkin seed.

Almonds, walnuts, peanuts, pecans: Are rich in L-Lysine which is a natural DHT inhibitor. Spinach, Kale, cashews, wheat germ, cooked white mushrooms: are high in Zinc , a known DHT inhibitor.

It is often said that red meats are best avoided in excess, finding an appropriate substitute for proteins might be a little difficult for those looking to build muscle etc. Here’s an alternative, their is a wide variety of seafood available, shrimp is a great substitute. They not only go excellently well in a number of curries and pastas, their potent concentration of Vitamin B12, iron, zinc contain all the necessary nourishment to prevent hair loss.

Desiring healthy hair? Eggs are loaded with essential nutrients such as proteins, Vitamin B12, iron, zinc and Omega 6 fatty acids in large amounts. Being deficient in any of these vitamins and minerals is known to result in poor quality of hair. In addition it’s also a good source for biotin (Vitamin B7) which is a great aid to fight hair loss.

FAQs

Q: What is hair loss?

A: The most common cause of hair loss for both men and women is heredity. Either one or both parents can pass on the gene that causes hair loss. Typically, men are more susceptible to hereditary loss of hair because of testosterone. When broken down to dihydrotestosterone, it acts as a catalyst to activate the hair loss gene. Both men and women are susceptible to this condition, which has been labeled as androgenetic alopecia. This means hereditary loss of hair with androgens (dihydrotestosterone).
Other reasons for hair loss may be underlying medical or hormonal problems, medications, excessive weight loss, chemotherapy, trauma or radiation.
